Auburn Photography Club has allowed me to share in their adventures.  Each quarter they have a list of topics to shoot.  This fulfilled my "Old Cameras" requirement.  The balance of my shots for the APC challenge can be seen on my Flickr site:

No pretty lights this week......but there were LOTS of pretty dogs.  Found out how much I missed being in the ring this weekend.  Also found out how much fun it is taking my camera to a dog show!

Epic Fail.
Picture
This is the first week since starting this project last January that I didn't pick up my camera.  I could blame it on the season and being busy and the like - but the truth is since I broke my primary camera and had to send it off to Canon for repairs... I've just not felt like shooting.  This photo was taken the evening of the 26th....so really is just filler for the following week....and I have three days yet to get off my but and take a shot for this week.  December  - lights.  I don't have any up yet....will have to go hunting.....

OK - didn't really pick up the spare camera this week after wreaking my primary last week.  These two were taken yesterday as a "last ditch effort" to make sure that I shot SOMETHING this week.  Cat's wouldn't pose...flowers would.  But it is animal theme...so here are my seven house cats.... somewhat bewildered because they don't get to eat off the table...and here was Mom coaxing them up.  The second shot was taken of a portion of the flowers my sister brought me for Thanksgiving (Thank you sis !!!).

Ok.....not a good week.  Primary body took a spill.  Broken lens is jammed to the body so off to Canon it goes.  *sigh*

I recently joined the forum for The New York Institute of Photography - and in reading many of the topics available to the photography enthusiast, I stumbled across a fellow student (Dee) that was issuing herself a challenge:  to take at least one photograph a week and submit it to her forum friends for review.  Sounds easy right?  Not so much.  First off, many of us taking the class are living in two worlds.  The world of families and work; deadlines and diapers (or barn chores, as is my case).  There are times when it is just not feasible to pick up a camera, or finish a lesson.  There there is the Photography.  The passion to capture this world that moves by us, faster by the day, and share it with others.
So - we challenge ourselves - and others - to make it happen.
